Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium Russet potatoes (about 400g)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 3 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Peel and rinse the Russet potatoes; grate them using a box grater or food processor.
  2. Drain excess moisture by placing grated potatoes in a clean kitchen towel and squeezing out as much water as possible.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the grated potatoes with chopped onion, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  5. Form small patties from the potato mixture and place them in the skillet. Cook each side for about 4 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Transfer to paper towels to absorb excess oil; serve immediately with your favorite toppings.
