  • 1/2 lb ground pork or chicken
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp chili oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the filling by mixing ground meat, ginger, green onions, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a bowl until well combined.
  2. Roll out dumpling wrappers into 3-inch circles if making them from scratch.
  3. Place 1 tablespoon of filling on each wrapper, moisten edges with water, fold to create a heart shape, and pinch to seal.
  4. Steam the dumplings for about 8 minutes or pan-fry until golden brown on one side, then add water and cover until cooked through.
  5. For dipping sauce, mix rice vinegar and chili oil in a small bowl.
  6. Serve the dumplings with the dipping sauce on the side.
