Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet pre-made puff pastry
  • 2 medium Granny Smith or Honeycrisp apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, toss diced apples with sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg; set aside.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thick.
  4. Cut the pastry into squares (approximately 4 inches each) and place a spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each square.
  5. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to create pockets and seal edges well.
  6. Whisk together egg and water for an egg wash; brush over each bomb.
  7. Place bombs on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
