  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Prepare the apples by peeling and chopping them into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix milk and egg until combined.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir gently. Fold in the diced apples.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C). Drop spoonfuls of batter into hot oil and fry until golden brown on both sides (about 3 minutes each side).
