  • 1 cup fresh figs, chopped
  • 1 cup toasted hazelnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and butter until crumbly. Add an egg yolk and stir until dough forms.
  3. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a thickness of ¼ inch. Place into a tart pan and gently press into edges.
  4. Line with parchment paper and fill with pie weights; bake for 15 minutes until lightly golden. Let cool.
  5. In another bowl, combine figs, hazelnuts, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until blended.
  6. Pour filling into the cooled crust and spread evenly. Bake for another 25-30 minutes until set and golden brown.
