Description

Goat Cheese Grilled Cheese with Honey and Red Pepper Flakes is a gourmet twist on the classic comfort food. This mouthwatering sandwich features creamy goat cheese melted between crispy, golden-brown bread, drizzled with sweet honey and sprinkled with zesty red pepper flakes. In just 15 minutes, you can create a delightful balance of flavors that’s perfect for brunch, lunch, or a cozy evening snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices sourdough or whole grain bread
  • 2 oz creamy goat cheese
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each slice of bread. Flip them over and layer goat cheese on the unbuttered sides. Drizzle honey and sprinkle red pepper flakes to taste.
  3. Place one slice in the skillet, butter side down, then top with the second slice, butter side up. Cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Carefully flip the sandwich using a spatula and cook until the other side is crispy, about another 3-4 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool slightly before slicing diagonally.
  6. For added decadence, drizzle more honey on top before serving.
