Topping
  • 2 cups chopped tomatoes
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
Bread
  • 1 loaf French bread sliced

Method
 

Prepare the topping
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine chopped tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped basil, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Toast the bread
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the sliced bread on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for about 5 minutes until golden.
Assemble the bruschetta
  1. Top each slice of toasted bread with the tomato mixture and serve immediately.
