  • 4 medium ripe tomatoes sliced
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese sliced
  • 1 bunch fresh basil leaves whole
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil for drizzling
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

Method
 

Assembly
  1. On a serving platter, alternate layers of sliced tomatoes and mozzarella cheese.
  2. Tuck whole basil leaves between the layers.
  3. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
