Ingredients
  

Stuffed Apples
  • 4 pieces apples cored
  • 1 cup oats rolled
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Vanilla Custard Sauce
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt

Method
 

Prepare the Apples
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Core the apples and set them aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine oats, cinnamon, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.
  3. Stuff the mixture into the cored apples and place them in a baking dish.
Bake the Apples
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the apples are tender.
Make the Custard Sauce
  1. In a saucepan, combine milk, sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Cook over medium heat until thickened.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
Serve
  1. Serve the baked apples warm with the vanilla custard sauce drizzled on top.
