Method
Prepare the Apples
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Core the apples and set them aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine oats, cinnamon, brown sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Stuff the mixture into the cored apples and place them in a baking dish.
Bake the Apples
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the apples are tender.
Make the Custard Sauce
- In a saucepan, combine milk, sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Cook over medium heat until thickened.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
Serve
- Serve the baked apples warm with the vanilla custard sauce drizzled on top.
