Method
 

Cooking Barley
  1. Rinse the barley under cold water to remove any debris.
  2. In a pot, combine the rinsed barley, water, and salt.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat.
  4. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for about 40 minutes or until the barley is tender.
  5. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 10 minutes.
  6. Fluff the barley with a fork and serve.
