Ingredients
  

Batter
  • 1 cup gluten-free cornmeal
  • 1 cup gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
Hot Dogs
  • 4 pieces hot dogs
Oil
  • 4 cups vegetable oil for frying

Method
 

Prepare the Batter
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cornmeal, gluten-free flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add the milk and egg, and mix until smooth.
Prepare the Hot Dogs
  1. Insert skewers into each hot dog.
  2. Dip each hot dog into the batter, ensuring it's fully coated.
Fry the Corn Dogs
  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Carefully place the battered hot dogs into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Remove and drain on paper towels.
