Ingredients
  

Cake Base
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
Cookies and Cream Topping
  • 1 cup heavy cream whipped
  • 1 cup crushed cookies such as Oreos

Method
 

Cake Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Topping Preparation
  1. Once the cake has cooled, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  2. Fold in the crushed cookies gently.
  3. Spread the cookies and cream mixture over the top of the cake.
