Cake Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Topping Preparation
- Once the cake has cooled, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Fold in the crushed cookies gently.
- Spread the cookies and cream mixture over the top of the cake.
