Ingredients
  

Tempura Batter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
Mushrooms
  • 1 pound oyster mushrooms
Honey Glaze
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

Method
 

Prepare the Mushrooms
  1. Clean the oyster mushrooms and cut them into bite-sized pieces.
Make the Tempura Batter
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, cold water, and baking powder until smooth.
Fry the Mushrooms
  1. Dip the mushroom pieces into the tempura batter and fry in hot oil until golden brown.
Prepare the Honey Glaze
  1. In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Heat until warm.
Combine and Serve
  1. Toss the fried mushrooms in the honey glaze and serve immediately.
