Ingredients
  

Fish Fillets
  • 4 fillets fish fillets such as catfish or tilapia
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 cups vegetable oil for frying

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine buttermilk, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.
  2. Soak the fish fillets in the buttermilk mixture for at least 30 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, add the flour.
Cooking
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  2. Remove fish from buttermilk, allowing excess to drip off, and dredge in flour.
  3. Fry the fish fillets in hot oil until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  4. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
