Ingredients
  

Vegan Chicken
  • 1 cup chickpeas mashed
  • 1 cup flour all-purpose
  • 1 cup plant-based milk
  • 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Waffles
  • 2 cups flour all-purpose
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 cup plant-based milk
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Maple Syrup
  • 1 cup maple syrup

Method
 

Prepare Vegan Chicken
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine mashed chickpeas, flour, plant-based milk, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  2. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and cook the mixture until golden brown on both sides.
Make Waffles
  1. In another bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, plant-based milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Preheat the waffle maker and pour the batter into the maker, cooking until golden brown.
Serve
  1. Serve the vegan chicken on top of the waffles and drizzle with maple syrup.
