Ingredients
  

Brownie Base
  • 1 cup dates pitted
  • 1 cup walnuts or pecans
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Topping
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips optional

Method
 

Prepare the Base
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine dates, walnuts, cocoa powder, maple syrup, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  2. Press the mixture into a baking dish evenly.
Chill and Serve
  1. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set.
  2. Cut into bite-sized pieces and serve.
