Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly.
- Poke several holes in each potato with a fork.
- Rub the potatoes with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
Baking
- Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack or on a baking sheet.
- Bake for about 60 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and a fork easily pierces the flesh.

For extra crispiness, you can wrap the potatoes in aluminum foil for the first half of baking and then remove it for the last half.
