Ingredients
  

Turkey
  • 1 whole turkey about 12-14 pounds
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for drizzling
  • 1 tablespoon salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh herbs such as rosemary and thyme
Stuffing
  • 4 cups bread cubes preferably stale
  • 1 cup pecans chopped
  • 1 cup cranberries dried or fresh
  • 1 cup onion chopped
  • 2 stalks celery chopped
  • 2 cups chicken broth low sodium
  • 1 tablespoon sage dried
  • 1 tablespoon thyme dried

Method
 

Prepare the Turkey
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pat the turkey dry and place it on the sheet pan.
  3. Drizzle olive oil over the turkey and season with salt, pepper, and fresh herbs.
Make the Stuffing
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine bread cubes, pecans, cranberries, onion, celery, sage, and thyme.
  2. Pour chicken broth over the mixture and stir until well combined.
Roast
  1. Stuff the turkey with the stuffing mixture.
  2. Roast in the preheated oven for about 90 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  3. Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
