Pasta
  • 400 grams spaghetti
Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes adjust to taste
  • Salt to taste
Garnish
  • Fresh basil for serving
  • Parmesan cheese grated, for serving

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  2. Add the crushed tomatoes and red pepper flakes, and bring to a simmer.
  3. Add the spaghetti and enough water to cover the pasta. Stir occasionally until the pasta is cooked and the water is mostly absorbed.
  4. Let the pasta sit for a few minutes to allow the bottom to crisp up.
Serving
  1. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil and grated Parmesan cheese.
