  • 0.5 cups butter softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries sliced
Lemon Cream Topping
  • 1 cup heavy cream whipped
  • 0.5 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

Method
 

Cake Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In another bowl, combine flour and baking powder.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
  7. Fold in the sliced strawberries.
  8. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  9. Let the cake cool completely before topping.
Lemon Cream Topping Preparation
  1. In a bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest, mixing until well combined.
  3. Spread the lemon cream topping over the cooled cake.
