Method
Making the Dough
- In a mixing bowl, combine the bread flour, water, and sourdough starter. Mix until no dry flour remains.
- Let the mixture rest for 30 minutes.
- Add salt and mix thoroughly.
- Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth.
First Rise
- Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 4-6 hours at room temperature until doubled in size.
Shaping and Second Rise
- Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan.
- Cover and let it rise for another 2-3 hours.
Baking
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C).
- Bake the bread for 40 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the bread cool before slicing.
