Ingredients
  

Cookie Base
  • 1 cup butter softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups flour all-purpose
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
Watermelon Decoration
  • 1 cup green icing
  • 1 cup red icing
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips for seeds

Method
 

Prepare the Cookie Dough
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the flour, baking powder, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
Shape and Bake
  1. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and use a cookie cutter to cut out watermelon shapes.
  2. Place the cookies on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes or until lightly golden.
Decorate
  1. Once cooled, decorate the cookies with green icing around the edges and red icing in the center.
  2. Add mini chocolate chips as seeds.
