Prepare the Cookie Dough
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the flour, baking powder, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
Shape and Bake
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface and use a cookie cutter to cut out watermelon shapes.
- Place the cookies on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes or until lightly golden.
Decorate
- Once cooled, decorate the cookies with green icing around the edges and red icing in the center.
- Add mini chocolate chips as seeds.
